This is a list compiled together of the most commonly asked questions at the show. If you cannot find your answer here, please contact us.
General Questions
- May I bring a personal vehicle to the show?
- Yes. If you require personal transportation due to disability or specific purpose (such as to move tools/equipment to/from your camping space and exhibit, you may do so if you have proof of insurance. Use of mobility scooters or powered wheelchairs is permitted. Joyriding is not allowed. Personal vehicles are limited to a maximum dimension of 6’x10′, no exceptions.
- May I rent a golf cart on the grounds?
- Yes. We do have a small number of golf carts available for rental. 2-seat carts will be available for $100/day. Please contact Barb Meister 608-477-3589 or carts@badgersteamandgas.com for information or golf cart reservations.
- Is there a church service on the grounds?
- Yes. There is a Sunday morning service in our Pavilion.
- Will my exhibit be safe?
- Yes. We have on-site security who patrols the grounds. That being said, please use common sense and take precautions to secure any valuables or items that may be easy to remove. (tools, magnetos, small items, etc)
Facilities
- Are there handicapped facilities available?
- Yes. There are accessible restrooms on the grounds, both portable toilets and block structure restrooms.
- Are there food services available?
- Yes. There are many food vendors on our grounds serving during the day.
- Is there first-aid on the grounds?
- Yes. There are both on-site EMT services and trained members of our group on-site. The EMT services are stationed near the bookstore on the corner of the parade route, and there are also mobile EMTs patrolling the grounds in a side-by-side.
Camping
- Is camping available?
- Camping is available for exhibitors and volunteers only. Attendee’s coming in will need to arrange lodging off-site. You may check out our lodging page for more details.
- How do Exhibitors/Volunteers register for camping?
- Pre-registration is open from March 1 through August 1 for the same site request.
- Fee must accompany the pre-registration form.
- We offer online payment by PayPal and regular mail with a check.
- Pre-register by submitting online registration form with payment via PayPal .

- How do I request my same site as last year?
- Indicate site on Pre-registration form.
- Also, please indicate if you wish to be together as a group if possible.
- Feature campers will be grouped together, if requested and possible.
- Closing date for pre-registration is August 1st.
- Assignment of sites will be done the following week with those who request the same site as last year being assigned that site if available.
- New exhibitors/volunteers will be assigned according to the unit size and availability.
- As always, some site modifications for this year will be possible. We will continue to do our best to accommodate the requests we receive.
- Camping is primitive. No Electricity or Water at campsites.
- Are there shower facilities?
- Pork Belly Ventures will provide a semi-trailer of showers including shampoo/soap.
- Please bring your own towel and washcloth.
- May I bring a generator?
- Yes, you may bring a generator, however please be respectful of others nearby. Please use only when needed and turn it off at night during quiet hours 10PM-6AM unless it is required for medical reasons. Medical need door tags may be obtained at camping registration.
- Is there a phone number for the Camping Area Coordinator?
- Yes you may call 608-963-9931 to get your questions answered through Noon Sunday.
- When may Exhibitors/Volunteers arrive to camp?
- Camping is open Noon Wednesday through Noon Monday Sunday over the Show weekend.
- Camping registration/assistance ends noon on Sunday.
- Is there a discount if I arrive or leave early?
- Cost is determined at our annual meeting in February and is for one night or five nights, Noon Wednesday until Noon Monday.
- Are pets welcome?
- Yes, pets are welcome, however they must remain leashed at all times. You are responsible for picking up after your pet as well.
- Are campfires allowed?
- No. There is a PERMANENT BAN on campfires on the entire show grounds, except as part of an exhibit. You may use charcoal grills/portable gas grills to cook at your campsite.
