Youth Tractor Safety Course

When: Saturday, May 18th, 2024, 9:00 am

Where: Badger Steam & Gas Showgrounds

The Badger Steam and Gas Engine Club will offer a safety day for those youth ages 12-18 who wish to operate any equipment on the grounds during the 2024 show. Any youth under the age of 18 must possess a certificate of completion from a Tractor Safety Course in order to drive on the showgrounds at Badger Steam & Gas. Interested adults are also welcome to attend. The safety class will be held in-person on Saturday, May 18 from 9:00 a.m. – Noon in the Women’s Building at the showgrounds, S3347 Sand Rd, Baraboo, WI 53913. There will be no charge for this class. Pre-registration is appreciated for planning purposes, but not required.

Please call John Gerike at 608-415-2401 to register or for any questions. This is safety training only, not a class to teach how to drive. It is assumed that participants already know how to drive and have some experience driving. If you are under age 18 the Badger Steam & Gas Engine Club “Show Rules and Regulations” require tractor operators to have passed and have a certificate for completion of a Tractor Safety Course. If you don’t have one – this is the class for you! After you successfully complete the training, you will be issued a certificate which will allow you to operate equipment on the grounds.
