Youth Safety Class
Badger Steam and Gas Engine Club supports our youth with a Youth Safety Class the third Saturday of May! This class introduces students 12-18 to many aspects of tractors, from sitting in the driver’s seat to transporting and use. Our youth under 18 must possess a certificate of completion from a Tractor Safety Course in order to drive on our showgrounds.
This free in-person class occurs from 9AM-Noon in the Women’s Building at the showgrounds S3347 Sand Rd, Baraboo, Wi 53913. Preregistration is appreciated for planning purposes, but not required. Please contact John Gerike 608-415-2401 to register or any questions.
This is safety training only, not a class to teach how to drive. It assumes that participants already know how to drive and have some experience driving. If you are under age 18 the Badger Steam and Gas Engine Club “Safety Rules and Regulations” require vehicle operators to have passed and have a certificate of completion of a Tractor Safety Class. If you don’t have one – this is the class for you! After you successfully complete the training you will be issued a certificate which allows you to operate equipment on the grounds.
